Part of the early-'90s Finnish death metal scene; linked in the review to bands such as Abhorrence and Demigod; noted for a raw, chaotic production and dense atmosphere. Debut: World Without God (1991). Second album: Reflections. Reunion in 2012.

DeBaser hosts one detailed review of Convulse's debut World Without God, praising its raw Finnish death metal sound and deep vocals by Rami Jämsä. The reviewer sees the album as a lost gem of the early-'90s scene, while noting production and chaotic elements that prevent it from being a masterpiece. The band's second album Reflections preceded a disbandment and a later 2012 reunion.
