I didn't know anything about it; I didn't know anything.

This afternoon, while messing around on YouTube, I stumbled upon the cover of "Disintegration" by The Cure. Yes, you read that right: Converge, from Salem Massachusetts, tackling Robert Smith!! It's unbelievable, but it's pure truth.

I immediately start searching and read about the Y2K EP that the band of Jacob Bannon and Kurt Ballou released in 1999.

Three tracks for three covers. Just under 14 minutes of massacre, blood from the eardrums, auditory terror.

Vio-lence (pre-Machine Head band), Black Sabbath, and The Cure are being abused by the champions, the leading figures of Metalcore - Mathcore.

All of this is sadistically opened by the cry of a baby; a cry that is interrupted by a gunshot. Disturbing...

That's how "Serial Killer" begins with Jacob’s tortured, broken, delirious voice dominating over everything. Two minutes of panic; the Thrash Metal of Vio-lence is sodomized by this bunch of lunatics.

Because I've always considered Converge a band of madmen, lunatics, mentally ill...

The ruthless war resumes with "Snowblind", recorded live, from Black Sabbath. The same treatment, no mercy for Ozzy and company. They make a clean slate; annihilating.

The beastly trip ends with "Disintegration"...hallucinatory.

From nervous breakdown...

Nothing else is needed.
