"Best Emerging Band of 2005", this is what the Communic are according to a very important German magazine (German, like the band).
Very well known in Germany and eager to make a name for themselves here in Italy too, Communic release their second official album (considering the first one is a demo) called "Conspiracy In Mind". With this album, they are immediately noticed for their ability to blend calm and relaxing moments with breathtakingly violent passages.
A concrete example is the song "History Reversed" which constantly alternates slow pieces and rocky and aggressive parts. At first, this may seem a bit too "daring", but if listened to diligently, one will realize that composing such pieces is truly the work of geniuses. What strikes the most, however, is the overall sound of "Conspiracy In Mind", precise and modern: each instrument performs its part with equal importance and every note is distinguishable and comprehensible.
We can notice the cover image which could easily be mistaken for a progressive context; there is just a small but not negligible detail that shifts the idea: the little girl depicted sitting on a chair is surrounded by blades ready to slice her tender flesh, essential for conveying a warning of violence to the audience.
Worth a listen by everyone but certainly by "Nevermore" fans.
