To analyze "Wake The Dead" by Comeback Kid track by track would be heresy. The work is composed of a crescendo of emotions, anger, and frustration, sensations expressed through a sound that's primitive yet current, chaotic yet melodic; the Hardcore/Punk quartet indeed embodies continuous musical dichotomies opposed to each other: when the guitars weave melodies, the voice screams desperately the hatred and fatigue of an earthly existence beginning to weigh heavily. Enigmatic lyrics that hide suffering, emblematic obsessions with death that are screamed at the top of one's lungs.
Comeback Kid confirm themselves as one of the best acts in the punk scene of the new millennium, demonstrating passion through a courageous musical offering, never banal, intense, angry, yet at the same time considered. In the endless sea of hardcore, the band stands out thanks to a mature songwriting supported by melodic choices that are never out of tune.
