Rating: Even more "head down" than they had done so far. This is the essential summary of "Broadcasting...", the new musical effort by the Canadian band Comeback Kid. This translates into a sound that combines the explosive force of hardcore with the expressive urgency of punk, which is further enhanced by a dynamite charge of hard rock origin (let's say compressed rock 'n' roll) to make the impact of the tracks even rougher and full of sonic anger.
Eleven tracks (for which no fewer than eighteen different musicians/singers, from the band or otherwise, were called for backing vocals) that start with engines already overheated and fifth gear engaged, and always end at the same speed, flattening any obstacles that may appear in front of them.
Don't expect to experiment with new or fantastic emotions while listening to the album, but you will certainly understand that if you're looking for a good workout fueled by musical energy, you will find full satisfaction here. Nothing more, nothing less.
