A cold, frozen world, 0 Kelvin, when no molecule is in motion anymore, when the smallest particles of each of us, of everything existing come to a halt, nailed to the ground, in the air, in the water, everything is a single block, a single entity, bodies are no longer in extension, movement is reduced to a potential ceasing to be an act, the infinite becomes within reach, the infinitely small seems unattainable, it is not the end of the world, it is simply music, sublime hypnosis for the mind that is drawn into dark and distant worlds, pure abstraction and estrangement of the body that finds itself motionless and enchanted by the dark atmospheres created by Coldworld.
Tracks that do not reach exorbitant lengths (the longest is 8 minutes), essential, dry riff, distant voice that echoes like a lament in the infinity of space and simultaneously shatters against the barriers that enclose the world and the universe, violins occasionally make an entrance, adding nothing but melancholy to an already quite grim world, keyboards with ice keys, each note perfectly integrated into an almost mystical and unreal world, as in the beautiful "Winterreise", a few notes tuned one after the other, an almost obsessive yet sweet repetition, relaxation for the limbs and soul, peace with the entire world, peace which, however, in this case, is not found in warmth and affection, but in cold and utter solitude.
The dirty production, as in almost all albums of this genre, adds extra points to the artist, the listener is not allowed to distinguish sounds, guitar and keyboard overwhelm each other creating a surreal and dark atmosphere, a long journey through snowy landscapes, bare trees, ruins, places where even hope is already dead.
An endless flow of emotions, without a moment of boredom, this is music that captivates and imprisons without leaving escape, and it is a true pleasure to remain trapped in the melodies of Coldworld...
