Coldplay started their career and were immediately awarded for their first album. With the release of their second, they won again. However, in their third album, they lost originality and are no longer the greats they once were, just witnesses and creators of always innovative and widely copied music.

Their music strikes particularly for the melancholy in the lyrics and melodies, creating a melancholic atmosphere that, in difficult moments, can help find a glimmer of serenity. Just like a negative times a negative makes a positive, so melancholy times melancholy makes happiness, inner contentment. I'm going to review a great single in my opinion: "Clocks". A highly melancholic text set to an equally melancholic melody. The song's cornerstone is Chris's piano, to which the remaining pieces are added; the background bass, which is almost inaudible, makes everything faster; the drums follow the piano without doing anything extraordinary; the guitar remains almost isolated, and only at the end of the track does it find a small space. The combination of these elements creates a great monument to contemporary music, making this song a unique piece, a true gem. The EP also features three excellent live tracks, which show that this band doesn't disappoint even live.

In six years, Coldplay has become one of the greatest bands in the world, perhaps only rivaled by U2. Bono, the leader of U2, has also been a guide for Chris in humanitarian projects. The Coldplay frontman has followed Vox in the fight for human rights by visiting various African countries and making a valuable contribution to the fight against poverty worldwide.

People like them should be appreciated and thanked because they make the world a better place with their music and their wonderful deeds.
