If you have a dark moment in your day when you have no idea what to do, it's a good time to listen to Colder.

It was a boring evening when I discovered Colder. No one to chat with, nothing to study, a lot of boredom, melancholy, and loneliness were taking over me, when at a certain point I decided to open the program to download something new that would overwhelm me. Recommended by Claudio Fabretti, I decided to listen to Colder.

The album starts with "Crazy Love"... I fall in love with it... I turn up the volume and listen to it 2-3 times... the album flows delightfully... 10 songs of pure enjoyment... bass in the foreground that enters your brain and never leaves... no guitar, the album follows a continuous rhythm, the synths are perfect... a calm voice that cannot feel sensations and be overwhelmed by the album's spatial atmospheres.

The masterpiece of the album is "Shiny Star"... a harmony of sounds, something that words cannot describe. The French group leaves us astounded, showing us the world from a completely new perspective. Melancholy becomes an atmosphere of doubt, where you feel you have to do something, you have to move, you can't stand still. The album drops in intensity in the second half, slightly abandoning the driving rhythm that characterized the first half. The result is a very good album, enviable to many. Notable is the trace left by Joy Division and Kraftwerk, especially in "Where" and "Silicone Sexy".

They are the ones along with Interpol today that make us say that New Wave is not dead, indeed it still has a lot to tell us.

"The bass and electronic drum attack literally make me jump up like a spring and turn up (as much as possible) the volume."

"Again is a great album, a beautiful fusion of pop, dub, and electronic, the influences definitely to be sought, as already mentioned, among Joy Division, New Order, and Kraftwerk."
