"Chi more pe' mme" was one of the musical phenomena of 2005. The entire specialized press (Rolling Stones, Rumore, Xl...) could not remain indifferent to the excellent craftsmanship of the product, Italian hip-hop sung not in the language of Dante, but in that of Totò, at a time when the genre seemed lifeless. It was also the year of the events that inspired Gomorra, the best seller by Roberto Saviano.
Today, 2009, "Vita bona" is released, their new work, once again under the Poesia Cruda Dischi label with Universal distribution. Antonio Riccardi (Ntò) and Luca Prudente (O'Luchè) return to depict the bitter reality of our times with their sharp rhymes.
Naples humiliated and losing, neomelodics, Camorra, and scandalous politics. "Vita bona" is a manifesto, an explicit self-referential manifesto. The beats are powerful and masterfully crafted, and young producer Guido Parisi confirms his talents while O'Luchè begins to show his. Finally, the collaborations: Fuossera (in the excellent "Nun saje nient ‘e me""), Monsi du 6, the unforgettable voice of Almamegretta Raiz, Marracash, El Koyote, and Akhenaton from IAM (the latter collaborates in "Rispettiva ammirazione", one of the highest points of the album).
"Vita bona", "this is the road that calls".
