LA RECENSIONE

This CD "The My Fourteen Songs" by Claudio Scolari was a total surprise when I listened to it. I was fascinated, and I must say it transported me to a sweet jazz-blues sensitivity (harmonies, sounds, and noises) all in a series of truly original compositions.

For those who will listen to the work of percussionist Claudio Scolari and Donnie Romano, they will find the true sense of jazz experimentation and it's good that they dedicate their time to listening to this album. A collection of songs with lots of inventiveness, it seems to start playing only to finish too soon. These compositions meet their own relative period, and I believe you will enjoy them. Fourteen all-original songs were written on the CD by Claudio Scolari.

This brilliant accumulation of material will remind listeners of the finest of jazz music found in the old coffee houses of the 50s, jazz music that has meaning, has melody, and is inventive in its manipulation of jazz motifs carried to the present day. The guitar and percussion work, voice, and synth are perfect. Very beautiful!
