Presence of echoes of reality, like female voices, but if you're savvy with these things, you understand that maybe they are field recordings of streams, which guys like Clark then dissect and interpolate wave by wave, sequencing them on intricate rhythmic patterns that, basically, between a hi-hat cut and a deconstructed and reverberated roll taken from a jazz drum set, tell you move your ass stoner don't you hear it's a four-four? Second part: open the structures to what you generically define as electronics because it sits between the digital hallucinations of OPN, with sudden bursts of too many bpm, and more song-like ambient.
The ideal watershed, the integrated system, is Slap Drones, which, due to its ambivalence, is placed along the groove of the perfect electronic pieces tradition.
Enjoy it at least in flac, save up to buy yourself the watts. Always think that if this is art, then you can enjoy the state of the art and perhaps even a couple of steps beyond; if it's just craft and tradition, then take this hit of historical-avant-garde fine craftsmanship.
