"Trust me, you absolutely cannot miss this concert. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is the first band that became successful through the word of mouth from bloggers around the world. Can you believe it? It's an epoch-making event. They are the first, but others will follow, and one day you will be able to say: I was there!". As usual, it's a tough task to drag a friend to a concert, and one really has to give their best, but in this case, it was worth it.

We arrive at the Estragon at 10:40, and one can already distinguish the rough, dirty, and dynamic sound of Dr. Dog, considered the Beatles of our time. They warm up the atmosphere well, but the wait that follows begins to make the crowd impatient: the venue is packed with people, all trying to find a spot from where they can see the stage.

After forty minutes, finally, the CYHSY arrive, cheered and applauded by an incredibly enthusiastic audience. One hour and a quarter of a concert with just one break and a crowd of fans singing, dancing, and even indulging in pogo during the more "punkish" moments. These guys captivate with their freshness and convey beautiful emotions, nicely alternating between the more lively songs and the slower tracks, adding some para-psychedelic touches. The singer's out-of-tune and irritating voice clashes a bit at first, but then it blends with the schizophrenia of the melodies and sounds, and you wouldn't want it any other way.
They played all the tracks from the album and even gifted us with a couple of unreleased songs. Among the best episodes: "The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth", "In This Home On Ice", "Is This Love?" and "Clap Your Hands!" at the beginning of the encore.
CYHSY are making the most of their magic moment, and we clap our hands!

P. S. A big thank you to the guy leaning against the column who allowed me to better see the stage through his camera: it's a shame the bouncer came and made him turn it off :(.
