THE REVIEW

Attacking this work by Circle Jerks is truly a trend. Without a doubt, in the past, they had done much, much better, but "Wonderful" in my opinion is not to be thrown in the trash.

The rhythms have slowed down compared to past works, the songs have become slower and more cadenced, making greater use of the old and never out of fashion bluesy scales, however, the album doesn't bore, it passes quickly leaving the listener somewhat satisfied. Okay, we are talking about Circle Jerks, the band deserved better than this little record, but it's also known that this formation has radically changed their famous thought "Live Fast Die Young" over the years to a life dedicated to money, so strange changes have always been part of their lifestyle.

The most frivolous thing about this "Wonderful" is perhaps some banal lyrics, for example "American Heavy Metal Weekend" where among powerful riffs they list American metal bands, among which we can also find WASP and Motley Crue, explaining why American metal is stronger than English metal. Personally, I like some tracks from this work, I couldn't fail to mention "Macking a Bomb" or "Killing for Jesus".

My final rating is a "more than sufficient" and not a clear failure as it is usually judged. I recommend this album to enthusiasts, but not to those who have never listened to anything by Circle Jerks, first, they need to listen to the real albums.
