Her success is owed to the single "Jar Of Hearts," which, after being used as a track in a television program, started being downloaded by more and more people from iTunes. The name of the album was chosen by Perri to highlight the dominant themes that emerge from the analysis of the tracks: love and strength.

The piano plays a leading role throughout the album, accompanying the singer’s voice which ranges from desolate ballads to cheerful and carefree songs. The common thread between this variety of tracks is that they all recount episodes from Perri's life; in fact, she has been writing songs since she was fifteen. During the listening, we encounter sad songs such as "Tragedy," "Sad Song," and "The Lonely," but also tracks capable of conveying her great energy like "Mine," "Bang Bang Bang," all interwoven with sweet and slow tracks like "Penguin" and "Bluebird." The album has reached good chart positions in America, Canada, and Australia. 

Almost every track has a video shot by the singer on YouTube, where we can see how young, yet very determined and genuine she is. It is indeed a relief for me to see that there are still singers who have recently entered the scene capable of singing while keeping their clothes on, without massive use of distortions and without the feeling that they have only recorded one phrase then replicated it throughout the track.

In conclusion, I would say that it is an unpretentious album, but delightful to listen to, promising a rather rosy future, starting from the latest single "Thousand Years" which has been chosen for the soundtrack of the third film of the Twilight saga (whether positive or negative, you decide, but nevertheless quite significant).
