The third album by Christina Aguilera, “Back to Basics,” has been released in recent days..

Christina presents a double CD with 24 songs, so the fans of Christina who have eagerly awaited the release of this album will be delighted by this magnificent record, just as I have been delighted. To do a track-by-track of the 24 songs, I would have to take my time, so I'll highlight the pieces that I liked the most from this very vintage marvelous album.

The single that preceded the album, “Ain’t No Other Man”; a very sensual track, boasts production by DJ Premier and Charles Roane. “Candy Man” is a song that harks back to the harmony styles of the 30s. The moving “Save Me from Myself” is a tribute to Christina's husband. “Thank You” is a gift that Christina gives to us fans.
In my opinion, this record is splendid, it is a tribute to soul music, jazz, and blues. The album also sounds very original, containing traces of the greats from the past such as Billie Holiday and Otis Redding.

You can feel Christina's talent, it is overwhelmingly present upon listening, to say the least, extraordinary. This is a record that cannot be missed by those accustomed to “Good music.”

P.S. I will write a more exhaustive review after I’ve listened to the album about twenty times.
