THE REVIEW

We live in times of deep social and cultural decay. Moreover, I have the sad feeling that Italy today allows you to survive, at best, but not to live. Where has that spark gone that makes us human? Where is the music? Where is the cinema? Where is the literature? Where is art for art's sake? Young people are older than the old, and many desire to crash even more than the old. Even the spirit of the times has flown away, lost in a blob of recycled zombies.

This is why "The Vaginal Wrapper" is a masterpiece. And how can one deny it? Three great figures for three great minutes: the Great Giuseppe Simone, a modern hero now entered into myth, an Andrea Diprè in a state of grace, almost a living image of today's society, and finally, behind the scenes, an inspired ChristianIce, a former member of Prophilax and owner of a record label, but here in the role of a YouTube satyr. And finally, we return to thinking, to reflecting on great themes, set to music for the occasion with a theme song extracted from Doctor Who (and here returns the Warholian concept of the reproducibility of Art in the consumer age) as compelling as it is satisfying.

Because if that is side A (side A side A) and that is side B (side B side B, B) and you can see for yourself how firm it is, the question arises spontaneously: why has no one, after 5 years, taken advantage of Giuseppe Simone? Why does no one want to give him the much-desired vaginal wrapper? What strikes is the brutality with which two such different realities, but faces of the same coin, crash: in fact, to the lawyer "they certainly must have given it" (necessary quote) but the humble Giuseppe, not accustomed to premature nonsense and first-rate drugs (without source), still cannot see the importance of his hard hard bird like a kangaroo's tail recognized. And as if that weren't enough, good Giuseppe throws a provocation to all these women working in the adult film industry: "what do their parents think about them being whores?" and while he wrestles with this contradiction typical of a man divided between Reason and the Bird, the Art Critic has no doubts about it: "even someone who is a porn star is an artist". Or to use his now renowned words: a Mobile Work of Art. Giuseppe Simone's response is immediate (and illuminating): "Excuse me, do you have sisters?". And in this consideration, almost a hermetic verse, is enclosed all the beauty of this collaboration between two Great Italian minds, between a simple man who cannot find "bread for his teeth" and a cunning and certainly better-paid critic who has found and understood the substantial importance of this bread, but who often appears too... tired, to fully appreciate it.

Kudos to ChristianIce for the excellent compilation in the editing, such as the extraordinary topographical revelation about Trentino Alto Adige, the clip taken from Pulp Fiction and from Guns'n'Roses. Finally, I close by recommending everyone to watch the aforementioned video but also the subsequent masterpiece "Andrea Diprè sings for Sasha Grey", whose beginning splendidly crowns the conclusion of the monument just viewed and reviewed.

Greetings and a warm wish to all of you to find the vaginal wrapper, perhaps in a Mobile Work of Art that, hopefully, understands the importance of your bird
