Chris Gantry (born 1942 in Queens, New York) is an American singer-songwriter associated with Nashville. He wrote the hit "Dreams of the Everyday Housewife" and recorded at Johnny Cash and June Carter's House of Cash; Drag City has issued his material, including Nashlantis.

Born in Queens in 1942; moved to Nashville in the early 1960s; wrote over 1,000 songs; "Dreams of the Everyday Housewife" became a hit (1968) and was performed by Glen Campbell; recorded at the House of Cash in the early 1970s; rediscovered in part through Drag City; the DeBaser review notes a 1973 incarceration for drug possession and describes Nashlantis as eleven new songs in a Nashville/outlaw-country style.
