We are facing an acoustic concert where our artist delights with an acoustic guitar, a microphone, and his voice, singing songs from Soundgarden, Audioslave, songs from his solo repertoire, and some covers (those are always good).
This is the most suitable dimension for the artist (excluding Soundgarden) and the one that everyone would have wanted to see after the blunder with his latest album in collaboration with Timbaland.
Let's delve a bit into the history of this Songbook: after the decision to reunite Soundgarden and go on tour, our artist had some time on his hands, so he decided to do a nice acoustic concert accompanied by the guitar. For this event, a bootleg was recorded for a date in Stockholm (videos are available on YouTube). Evidently, that concert went well, so he continued with the tour, and the result of the tour is the album that's playing in the background as I write.
The album doesn't just sound good, it sounds excellent. Our Cornell is in a perfect dimension, where the acoustic guitar perfectly highlights the magnificent voice of this artist.
In the album, there are tracks taken from the Soundgarden repertoire (Black Hole Sun), pieces from Euphoria Morning and Scream (Ground Zero, Can't Change Me), pieces by Audioslave (Like a Stone), and Temple Of The Dog (Call Me a Dog). There are also covers like "Imagine" by Led Zeppelin and an unreleased track (The Keeper).
What can I say, folks? Wonderful album, wonderful voice, wonderful songs.
