Fifth release for the American band, two years after the last "Vena Sera". In their 15 years of activity, they have never managed to make that quality leap that would set them apart from the vocalist=tool comparison that has pathetically characterized other bands in the alternative/rock scene, even though they showed promise in their major debut "Wonder what's next". That's precisely why I wanted to review this latest album, always having a pinch of hope and credibility in them; they seem to have finally shuffled the deck, combining what's been done with appreciable results.

The album's 11 tracks flow reasonably well. From the opening track "Sleep apnea", one can perceive the style in which the refrains of almost all the other songs will be structured without ever falling into the mundane. A good performance in "Mexican sun" and the first single "letter from a thief", and an intense one in "This circus"; "Roswell's spell" is an example of the unfortunately late maturation of the singer. There's also time for a ballad "Highland's apparition", which this type of group never overlooks or disdains. The track that undoubtedly represents the album is the second single "Jars", with a very beautiful interpretation, especially with a very catchy chorus that sticks in your head. Certainly, there are those 2-3 tracks that end up in oblivion immediately after listening to them.

For those who appreciate the genre, I recommend spending that half-hour of listening; not a throwaway album compared to its predecessors.
