Chapterhouse are an English shoegaze band formed in Reading in 1987, best known for the 1991 album Whirlpool and a string of singles and demos associated with the UK shoegaze scene.

Part of the late-'80s/early-'90s UK shoegaze scene; White House Demos (1989) are presented in the DeBaser review as early, reverb-heavy demos unearthed by Christian Savill of Slowdive.
