THE REVIEW

The trio Chaos Physique, composed of the now Italianized Amury Cambuzat from the French band Ulan Bator, Piero Mecca, and Diego Vinciarelli, recorded their 2nd work "1975" live in 2012, in the studios of Verdena.

The password to enter their universe is Kraut Rock, listen to the opening "INTUITION", a sonic ride where the NEU magically materialize.

They don't invent anything new; in nine tracks, they blend and update Kraut, Psychedelia in "MOVIN YOUR HAIR", NOISE in "1975", very close to the magical LOOP, obsessive, sick Space Rock atmospheres in "CAPTAIN BOOM" (a dedication to SONIC BOOM?).

All their love for Kraut is declared in "CHAINSAW BEATY" where the chainsaw of Jean Herve Peron of FAUST appears and in "ANALPHABET CITY", the presence of Amury Cambuzat and his comrades Ulan Bator is strongly felt.

In "ELECTRIC DREAM", the references to the experience of the never-forgotten THE AIR & SKIN TRADING COMPANY are evident. Experimentation becomes heavier in the noisy litany of "LONG RUNNING TRAIN" which concludes this work amidst hisses and repeated guitar chords.

The tracks are almost always supported by a relentless and pounding rhythm but have the great virtue of not boring despite maintaining their experimental structure, thanks to the wide range of solutions adopted and the duration of the tracks that always maintain a song format, without meandering needlessly.

A very pleasant album that could also interest those who, reading the term experimental, usually steer clear by default.
