"Capri is sacred. The goal is not to see it, but to feel a certain quality of emotion" (Jean-Paul Sartre)
Capri is the place chosen by Will and Danielle to bring to life their soundscape. A soundscape far from the collective imagination of the island and from the certain vulgarity of the tourist season, yet deeply connected to its winter scenery.
The one painted by Celer is a fresco made of silences, nature, echoes: an unusual and unreal Capri, but at the same time tangible in its natural elements. "Capri" is watching the backwash of the waves crashing on the sea stacks, enclosed in the Punta Carena lighthouse.
It is almost useless to try to guess instrumentation, field recordings, loops: everything is lost in a flow in which to immerse and remain without any memory and identity. "Capri" is getting lost in sensory deprivation caves or helplessly witnessing the unleashing of the tails of Zephyr.
Celer's music is the exact opposite of the concept of ambient-drone as mere sonic escapism; on the contrary, it is a perpetuation of more earthly and layered sounds and atmospheres than ethereal, capable of evoking precious suggestions.
Listen to the inverted sounds, falling.
