Jon Lord (Jonathan Douglas Lord, 9 June 1941 – 16 July 2012) was an English keyboardist and composer, founding member of Deep Purple, known for blending classical music with hard rock and for his Hammond organ work.

Founding member and keyboardist of Deep Purple; composer of the 1969 Concerto for Group and Orchestra; left Deep Purple in 2002; widely recognised for pioneering the use of the Hammond organ in rock music; died 16 July 2012.

A first-hand, emotional account of the Celebration Jon Lord tribute at the Royal Albert Hall. The event combined an orchestral "Composer" section and a rock "Legend" section with many guest artists. Highlights include Glenn Hughes's vocal performances and keyboard duets by Rick Wakeman and Don Airey. The reviewer recommends the DVD for its direction and choreography.
