One winter afternoon, I go to a store to buy this CD that I've been waiting to buy for 11 years. When the seller hands it to me, a girl nearby starts singing the chorus of "Quello che sento", the 1997 Sanremo song. I'm amazed that someone still remembers Cattivi Pensieri with me after 11 years.

But why did I wait 11 years to buy it? Because when I was little, my parents wouldn't give me money to buy some cassette tapes and later CDs. I could do so if a relative gave me money: then, besides Christmas, Easter or my birthday, I could afford to buy CDs at other times.

And then "Quello che sento" is one of the songs that over the years my love for has never waned: released at Sanremo, I loved it immediately; and during the summer, before spending my two-month vacation in Calabria, I had bought the double album cassette of "Sanremo '97", I wouldn't have noticed that there were many songs I loved, something that has never happened again in my life. A historic moment for me was when "Innamorarsi è" by Vito Marletta ended and "Quello che sento" began, with that interval that made my heart race in anticipation of the "profound" initial attack!

And I must say that Cattivi Pensieri never made a song more beautiful than this. Here Cinzia Farolfi divides into the two vocal tones that characterize the brief repertoire of her group: "gatta morta" on one side, and on the other, a rather "mature" woman (up to a certain point) but who seems a bit suffering.

I cry for the emotion this track brings me every time I listen to it, but there are another 2/4 of an album that are not far behind: the summer track "Inconquistabile", the carefree "Sogno la felicità", the tender "L'amore si fa in 2". But also "Sono come te" and "Tic...tac".

But "La scatola" is also the end of this youthful group, whose songs I always thought were for young people on the path to maturity (from 24 onwards), that generation that when I was 14 or 15 I felt close to: not like Dirotta su Cuba which for me, from the name, were for young people aged 27 to 30, whom I didn't feel close to. Unfortunately, I can't better explain this attitude from the past.

For those interested, a safe place to find a few copies are thrift markets or used record stores. If you're lucky enough to find a new copy, I'm happy for you.

Instead, "Un'incredibile storia", the previous album, has been out of catalogs for a few years now. I found the last copy in time at a used fair and rediscovered "Miki", already heard on television when I was little, and "Emozione", a good love song.

And in the end, long live Cattivi Pensieri!
