Born in 2024 in Brazil, the Castrivenian immediately stood out for their raw and at times atmospheric black metal, steeped in vampiric, lycanthropic, and misanthropic themes. The first full-length album, “Reborn from the Ashes (released after two demos and a split), came out on July 6, 2025, via Onlyhate Propaganda in a super-limited edition (only 10 CD-R copies).

In just over 34 minutes, the band combines hypnotic riffs, dark keyboards, and piercing screams, infused with hate, despair, and a sense of alienation, offering a sonic experience that recalls the roots of the '90s black flame, with a clear preference for Darkthrone and Burzum, while maintaining a personal imprint rich in emotional charge.

Let's be clear: Castrivenian do not invent anything new, but it is rare today to find genuine black metal works capable of magically combining sonic essentiality, nihilism, atmospheric suggestions with dark ambient and dungeon synth touches, and that vampiric mysticism that has so enchanted us lovers of the occult.

Undoubtedly, those who can look a bit beyond the usual names will not fail to glimpse the shadow of Werwolf from Satanic Warmaster on the horizon, especially at the end of the album.

This kind of LP is either loved or hated… As far as I'm concerned, I bow in total devotion: all the power of the fascination of evil is encapsulated in here.
