Carrè, Ladich, Marchal

Musical Group

Short-lived musical project formed by Olivier Carrè (singer), Mario Ladich (drummer, noted as drummer of Janus) and Jack Marchal (multi-instrumentalist). They recorded the album Science Et Violence in Rome in 1979, released in a very limited edition on the Signal label and distributed through Movimento Sociale Italiano channels.

Album: Science Et Violence (recorded in Rome, 1979). Label: Signal (very limited edition). Distribution reportedly through Movimento Sociale Italiano offices and 'Europa' bookstores. Reissue: Cosmorecord CD (1997) mentioned. Notable tracks: 'Derriere Ta Porte', 'On Efface Tout', suite 'Parcours'. Internal booklet with lyrics in French and Italian; sides named 'Face Blanche' and 'Face Noir'. Mario Ladich identified as drummer of Janus. Jack Marchal described in the review as guitarist/keyboardist, cartoonist, writer and political activist; reviewer notes he later resumed making music with a group named Elendil.

A single review highlights Science Et Violence (recorded in Rome in 1979) as musically interesting but historically obscure due to extremely limited distribution tied to MSI channels. The music blends progressive/art rock and krautrock touches; standout tracks cited include "Derriere Ta Porte", "On Efface Tout" and the suite "Parcours". The reviewer notes the group's neo‑fascist political affiliations and limited live activity. Availability is scarce; a Cosmorecord CD reissue (1997) is mentioned.

For:Collectors of obscure progressive/art rock; researchers of politically-aligned music; fans of krautrock-influenced experimental rock.
