I read "Women Who Run with the Wolves" for the first time in 2005 (a book released in 1989) and it immediately becomes my Bible. I often open a page at random and it answers me on all the themes that concern me. When I read the book, I am already disappointed as a female with myself and society. I have a beautiful job, but objectively I have to rely on my mother to take care of my son because I work six days out of seven for ten hours a day (a job I cannot abandon as the family breadwinner). I am a boss, but I earn at least 1,000 euros less than my male colleagues.
"Women Who Run with the Wolves" is a fairy tale manual and provides women with a fundamental teaching: the ability to be females and not antagonists to men, not to become a "poor copy" of them! Nature did not intend us to be that way, and it's time to follow it and retrace our steps.
The book revolves around a fundamental theme for every female: to generate an offspring of her species. It also has a "deadline" to do it. It requires nine months to carry on the pregnancy and time and rest for the nurturing phase, and this is in NATURE. The cult of beauty and youth at all costs has changed. The world is changing, and women as generators must accept the change.
The fairy tales are then explained from a practical and psychological point of view. The psychoanalyst author talks about the archetype of the "wild woman," the feral "Loba" who, thanks to her instinct and intuition, understands how to avoid danger and enmity (often towards herself) or the women themselves. The "she-wolf" sniffs and runs with men in nature as it has always been...
One of the most beautiful tales is that of Bluebeard.
The bride of Bluebeard knows she must not open only one door of the palace in which she has everything she desires. Her curiosity wins, and she opens the door of horror.
Behind the door is the explanation of the husband's monstrosity, who punishes all the women who disobey him with death. The key begins to bleed, but it does not deceive the murderous husband, and the bride (thanks to her intuition and cleverness) will manage to survive and not succumb to the monstrosity of her murderous husband.
I recommend the book to all women and all men who wish and desire to understand and know them better.
