THE REVIEW

Hello everyone. After the first three reviews in the realms of Nu metal and hardcore, let's move on to another genre, one I'm passionate about: Death Metal. Among the many works in Death Metal that I own, many of which have been reviewed here (bow bow), I've chosen to talk about an album that first saw the light of day back in 1991 under Earache, and one that I particularly love. The work in question belongs to Carcass and is titled "Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious".

Compared to the previous works of this glorious English band, you can note a middle ground between Death Metal and Grind, the equilibrium point of Carcass. Here, they embark on a more classic and accessible path, but still within the death realm. In this album, these Englishmen gift us rare gems in the entire history of Death metal, in my opinion second only to Death by the late Chuck. I repeat, in my opinion. One cannot remain indifferent to the greatness of tracks (which in this album reach incredible lengths for the death genre) such as Corporal Jigsore Quandary, Inpropagation, Pedigree Butchery, Carneous Cacoffiny. One must mention a name present in this work, that being Colin Richardson, for production/mixing work, which truly deserves recognition. This is a work of unparalleled beauty for this genre, of immense importance, unmissable for anyone wishing to listen to something refined and intelligent! Carcass has produced a series of albums always ahead of the schedule of their peers. A gem!!! Not everyone knows that the band members actually studied in this field to later graduate as surgeons!!! Legendary, a Death Metal Band with future surgeons! Paradoxical!

Recommended for anyone wanting to delve into the death world!!! And as I always say... a must-have, because the music you love... you possess!!!

Necroticism is the album that marks the first stylistic shift of Carcass, showcasing a maturity from the musical point of view.

The album offers us a very technical Death metal that could also be taken as Progressive due to the structures of the songs.
