The most beautiful video game on Xbox 360
Do not confuse with the first version - Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
Strangely, this game is not very well known, perhaps because Capcom didn't advertise it well, or because the magazines at the time wrote lazy reviews, but the fact is that many players don't know it exists. Now I will try to explain why this game is so wonderful, even if it is obvious that words cannot recreate or convey the feelings of wonder you experience when you have it in front of you on the screen.
Setting: Science Fiction. The plot unfolds on a distant planet, where the player must defeat the race of giant insects. The insects have been designed based on the prototype of the insects from the film Starship Troopers, which were already good, but in the game, they have been brought to physiological and visual perfection.
Graphics: Perfect. The fact that the graphics were accomplished in perfect Japanese anime style makes the graphics perfect even when compared to superior hardware on the Xbox 360. This exceptional drawing technique doesn't need more power, and for this reason, the game is a classic and a cult that will never age with time. The maps are so beautiful that you want to pause to admire their beauty.
Playability: Single-player is very enjoyable, the player is bathed in sensory nirvana due to the quality of the graphics, the lighting effects, and the perfect placement of the controls. This game can be called an example of the art of Japanese perfection. But the real fun begins with online multiplayer, which is so entertaining that it stops the perception of time. You start playing in the afternoon and continue until the following morning. You can only stop to eat quickly and stop only because you collapse from sleep the next morning.
The difference from the previous edition lies in the ability to choose which episode of the game to play, more weapons, and more maps, including other modes for multiplayer.
Unfortunately, there is one problem. The fact is that multiplayer was still a new thing, so in multiplayer mode, the connection was slow and weak, slowing down the creation of teams and causing sudden disconnections from the game. But when the connection held well, the fun was guaranteed.
After that, two more successive games came out, Lost Planet 2 and Lost Planet 3. LP2 was still good, but not as brilliant as the first, while LP3 was of disheartening ugliness. Unfortunately, the series has fallen low. I sincerely hope that Capcom decides to remake the first game, which was exceptional.
