THE REVIEW

Last night I attended the concert of Caparezza, and it was an extraordinary event. I've seen many concerts, including those of big international metal bands, and yesterday, despite the small crowd (I would estimate 3000 people), it seemed like the best concert ever, which is strange to say, considering that I've never been a fan of Caparezza.

Sure, I've always appreciated Caparezza to some extent, because I like the way the band members blend rock, sometimes heavy and metallic, with rap/hip hop. Just as in my passion for cinema, I appreciate anyone who uses citations in metaphors, and Caparezza does so extensively: from novels, films, news events, everything really, all in smart and true lyrics. Speaking of music, I discovered that his latest album: "Le dimensioni del mio caos" is something amazing, with beautiful heavy rock and great technique. The most beautiful thing was undoubtedly the scenic and entertainment ability of the whole band; behind them, a screen displayed themed videos for each song. At the beginning, a silhouette of an alien appeared on stage amidst smoke, then the whole band came on stage dressed as cyborgs... aliens moving mechanically; Finally, Caparezza appeared with a red cloak and they started by singing "Io vengo dalla luna"; the funniest part was undoubtedly when Caparezza sang while moving the alien's arm from behind a sheet. In the next song, about poop in space, everyone in space suits wore helmets with poop on top, and after the chorus "Cacca nello spazio", the band threw large, long, cylindrical brown balloons at the audience, they were supposed to be turds. And there were so many different choreographies, which I can't even fully recall, like the beautiful one about The Wizard of Oz, or the song about air conditioning, where, to simulate cold, the lights turned icy blue and fake snow fell from above. The skit with Pacman and the ghost was also very amusing.

The best moments were during "Vieni a ballare in Puglia"; "La mia parte intollerante", "Spacca la chitarra", "Sono fuori dal tunnel". In short, Caparezza presented his latest album and also revisited old hits.

It was a wonderful evening.
