Caparezza, I believe, is the only Italian artist with originality and creativity, always maintaining a clear distance from commercialism. Of course, I exclude all the times his songs have been used as summer hits or as show themes, but that's not what I'm here to talk about; that was just to clarify.

"Le dimensioni del mio caos," in terms of sound, in my opinion, is not the best, but these are personal tastes and matter little. As for the lyrics, as in all his albums, he remains a brilliant artist. The metaphors are always accurate and biting, and the figures chosen to interpret his characters are studied in detail, like naming a girl from '68 now corrupted by our society "Ilaria conditioned"; or the song "Cacca nello spazio," which may seem silly from the title, but if you pay attention to the lyrics, the song is more than engaged and ironic at the same time, and very relevant to a problem we have had for years: garbage, which Caparezza sends into space in this song, so we'll all have more room, and we'll surprise the aliens who instead just make crop circles! Or again, the song "Io diventerò qualcuno" is a strong critique of our ephemeral society, which now lays its foundations on image, ignorance, and the "cleverness" not to study and climb the career ladder by becoming famous on TV. And so one could go on for all the tracks on his album.

For those who have listened to all of Caparezza's albums, they will have noticed how his anger against this Italy has grown over the years. Each album presents a character and an increasingly cynical view of the world, like a crescendo of anger against all those who contribute to making this world unlivable.

I recommend listening to him. I know it’s hard to listen to Caparezza; as much as I like him, I'm not always in the right mood to hear raw and unvarnished truths rapped ironically on a record... his courage to clearly say how things truly are in Italy is to be appreciated. In fact, for this very reason, he is excluded from any TV show, because not being banal and vulgar, obviously he cannot be appreciated by the people.
