There's nothing to say: the little Japanese-Brazilian and her half-lesbian friends totally rock live!

I went to Transilvania intrigued by this decidedly atypical group, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised: short but very intense concert. The CSS live have energy to spare and, above all, they manage to convey an impressive power and a desire to have fun. I admit I knew very little about their album, given that I'd only heard their (beautiful) first single and the other two tracks on MySpace. I was a bit skeptical, because usually this kind of live music doesn't thrill me, as it's very difficult to fully render: but instead, the Brazilians filled their sound excellently, adding a bit more electricity to the pieces and, above all, giving everyone a great adrenaline kick (during "Let's Make Love And..." there was even a hint of stage diving).

The absolute star of the band was the little lady on the microphone, a true miniature rock star who commanded the stage magnificently, but the rest of the crew knew their stuff too, especially Adriano, the only man among women, who played the drums for a bit, the guitar for a bit, sang for a bit, and entertained the audience by speaking in Italian ("ok guys it’s 40 in the car and 60 in the room," indicating that the Italian prices are quite in line with international rates...). A group that still has a lot to say and about which (I hope) we'll hear a lot more in the years to come.

Amidst all this flow of words, the music of CSS, a mix of electro-pop with lots of self-irony, a big desire to make noise, plenty of sweat, and a bassist who literally held up the band's sound. If you add a nice cold beer to all of this, I'd say we have a perfect concert in front of us.
