Camaròn de la Isla

José Monje Cruz (stage name Camarón de la Isla, 1950–1992) was a Spanish flamenco singer renowned for his powerful voice and for modernizing flamenco. He collaborated notably with Paco de Lucía and with guitarist Tomatito. La Leyenda Del Tiempo (1979) is a landmark flamenco-fusion album.
