THE REVIEW

What is fear???? Fear is the greatest emotion of human beings, the one that holds us all within the feeling of sex: sex.

Hate, what is it?? Hate is first conveyed by Jimi Morrison in the lyrics of The End.

Anger?' Anger is hate that degenerates into hate.

What is poetry?? Poetry is sex, hate, fused together. Now let's talk about the album, that was an introduction to Count Burzum's first album which combines all these elements in his Burzum project, here black metal reaches very high peaks. This album is not the Count's masterpiece, which will be hvis lyset tar oss, where divinity will be touched.

The album begins with febbel scream forest unknown, driven by a very fast drum machine on murderous and very harsh rhythms, continuing with ea lord of depth which is included in space monkey. Now comes the Count's first masterpiece, speel of destruction, a very hard and depressed sad song, continuing with what will be the Count's second path, ambient.
Then comes the trashy war which reprises the war theme.
It continues with a 1-minute solo of cryng orc and what a solo worthy of Jimi Hendrix; we speak of technique here. Then it continues with the Count's third masterpiece, my journey to star, the tear-jerking song by Burzum that speaks of sex. Burzum ends with the hole that sends to hell dungeon of darkness, ending trapped there. Now begins aske, starting with the very fast stemm fra terent, continuing with the satanic ritual of dominus sathanas. It ends with last forgotten sad spirit, another masterpiece of the Count.

It will be less important than 'hvis lyset tar oss' but links all the albums together; it won't be a masterpiece but it's great music. I would like to say that Burzum, besides playing great metal, plays great music, and if the fans of Mayhem understood this, it would be hard to share Burzum's ideas. I don't share them, in fact, but if we appreciate Burzum as a musician, we will appreciate D'Annunzio as a philosopher.

The songs do not speak of Satan but of Norway, trolls, Odin.

This album is an excellent glacial album, cold as the Norway of werewolves.
