Burt Bacharach

Burt Freeman Bacharach (May 12, 1928 – February 8, 2023) was an American composer, songwriter, pianist and record producer, best known for sophisticated pop melodies and his longtime collaboration with lyricist Hal David.

Frequent collaborator with lyricist Hal David. Composer of well-known songs including 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head', 'I Say a Little Prayer', and '(They Long To Be) Close To You'. Winner of an Academy Award and multiple Grammy Awards. Began career in the Brill Building songwriting scene.
