LA RECENSIONE

"What's wrong with my head?"
We all wish we had an answer to this difficult question because there's definitely something not right in this artist's head, and it shows (just read the lyrics or the song titles to get an idea).

Anyway, aside from this, one can only speak well of Bugo's debut CD.
The CD is very well-structured, and perhaps someone wasn't wrong in calling this peculiar artist an innovator (especially considering what's being done in Italy lately). Indeed, you can't say that Bugo lacks ideas because just listening to songs like "pasta al burro" (which somewhat recalls a Massive Attack-style trip-hop) or "la mia fiamma" (a song that could easily fit into a Dinosaur Jr CD both in terms of voice and music) reveals his potential.

The classic rock ballads like "io mi rompo i coglioni" (some may have recently seen the video) are not missing, nor are experimental songs filled with various effects.

P.S. The CD was released at a special price and costs only 9.90 euros.

Bugo

Bugo (Cristiano Bugatti) is an Italian singer-songwriter from the Novara area, often associated with lo-fi experimentation, irony, and sharply observed everyday storytelling. Reviews describe frequent stylistic shifts (from lo-fi rock and acoustic songwriting to synth/electro-pop), and live shows marked by improvisation and multi-instrument performances.

Bugo is not a genius but not an idiot either; yes, he’s a bit dazed, but that’s the charm of his being bewildered.

The title is both idiotic and brilliant, and the rest of the album is no less: lyrics and music slathered with delusions that sometimes verge on total dementia.
