THE REVIEW

Highly enjoyable performance by Carlo Pedersoli, with 10 jazzy and entertaining tracks that delight the audience and once again prove the legend he is. The Neapolitan actor, 87 years old, releases "Futtetenne", a title and a program. His co-author is Nereo Foresti, and the result, as mentioned, does not disappoint, although the album should be evaluated as an exploit of the actor who, with Terence Hill alias Mario Girotti, wrote the history of world cinema with their "spaghetti westerns" and other unforgettable films together. Futtetenne is an anthem to life, to the ability to always react positively to the bad things life throws at us, and it is also the track that opens this unusual album, which has been printed on vinyl in a limited edition complete with Bud’s, that is Carlo’s, dedication, who signs the album with his real name. The former swimmer then sings "Chaque Fois" followed by the slightly melancholic "A vulimme fernì". The arrangements are well balanced. Banana Joe-like atmospheres introduce "Che ne parlammo a fà". All the songs are sung in dialect, proving that despite the Americanization that made him known to everyone as Bud Spencer, Carlo has not forgotten his roots. Side B of the Long Playing opens with "Nuvole", a bossanova piece introduced by the voice of the "singer" who introduces it, "when I am with you, the whole world is for me, but happiness sometimes fades away...". This is the first track sung in Italian. "Josephine" is also introduced by Bud and is more jazz, like the first track, but this time the song is sung in French, just like "J'aime Paris", which recalls some cinematic soundtracks. Side B, at least according to the vinyl version, closes with the environmentally minded "È tutta colpa dell'ozono", where our artist returns to singing in Italian, expressing his social protest. The album is concluded by two bonus tracks "Ciuf Ciuf Cia" and "In una nuvola", both short (2 and a half minutes). A 5-star rating goes to Bud Spencer's career more than to the album, which represents a crowning moment.
