The first thing that prompted me to review this album is the historical importance it has had in my musical life, as it was the first Death Metal CD I purchased back in 1994 (the year it was released). The second is that I take this opportunity to fill the gap on DeBaser, hoping to do something appreciated by interested readers.

More than a proper review, mine is a small description of the little emotions I feel every time I listen to this album, which is not historically important, was not released by a famous band, certainly did not even break into the market, and perhaps did not influence any other band to come, but it is an album with balls, beautifully recorded by the standards of that era (they are American and, coincidentally, the album was recorded at Morrisound Studios in Tampa) and powerful to the core!!

Scott Reigel's voice is what I love to define as emotional growl (if you'll allow me the term), because he articulates the words, which are thus understandable, and at the same time he injects incredible pathos and power into the album, giving it that something extra.
The two axes of Gates and Hipp do their job excellently, with killer riffs and always emotional, heavy-rooted solos, incredibly melodic and never out of place.
There are numerous chiseled blast beat passages by a Jim Coker always at the forefront, showcasing exquisite and original technique, but never over the top.

The album flows by with pleasure, between slow and paced (but rock-solid powerful) passages and 300-mph outbursts, ensuring the listener variety and compactness.

In conclusion, I recommend buying this album to all metalheads who appreciate the genre (Brutal Death Metal), but not only them, promising that they will not be disappointed. If you love both violence and melody at the same time, this CD is for you, and I hope it gives you endless emotions as it did for me.

Underrated!
