THE REVIEW

A handful of songs for guitar, voice, and little else.

Biographical or not, they are liked for their simplicity, for the sense of freedom they evoke ("Nanà").. it feels like being alongside the amiable Brunori, with a Peroni in hand, a summer sky, and lifelong friends. There’s the friend in charge of the bonfire, the one already drunk, and there’s even someone making out cheerfully. Because in the end, these are the things that remain, and if you miss them, they won’t come back. It’s useless to chase after a bitch, enjoy life and screw it! What will you tell your kids? That you stayed home, while we waited for the dawn?.. that while a star fell, and a joint was passed around.. you were confined in the depths of your useless and unproductive moral principles?.. No, my dear, wake up! Someone who cares about you is telling you this.

No one is forcing you to be an "Italian Dandy", also because I might die of a heart attack if I saw you smoking Pall Mall in Berlin or eating escargot in Marseille.. it’s not for you. You just want "a love that warms your soul and heart... a wife who warms your soup at dinner" ("Paolo"); perhaps one day someone will fulfill you or maybe you’ll become an "Entrepreneur", and you won’t think about it anymore. Mmm.. I don’t think so, but I wish you the best. But in the meantime, stop taking punches in the face, you’re not a "Boxer", and not even a super santos.

And while she’s sitting with her legs open.. at least look at her, because in ten years she will have given it to half the world and won’t even notice you. ("Guardia 82')

I will still be by your side, you’re a friend. One day you too will manage to live "Di così" better.
