Bruce Haack (1931–1988) was a Canadian pioneer of electronic music, known for DIY synthesizers, experimental albums and electronic records for children.

Born in 1931 in Canada; began piano lessons and composing at age 12; graduated in psychology; in the 1950s began composing for theatrical productions and children's soundtracks; built homemade synthesizers (including the Dermatron); The Electric Lucifer (1970) is a noted concept album released on Columbia; collaborator/performer on The Electric Lucifer: Chris Kachulis; mentioned admirers include Beck, Mouse on Mars, Luke Vibert, Peanut Butter Wolf and Mark Oliver Everett (Eels). Died in 1988.
