On paper, Broono is a young band formed in February 2017, but Elisabetta DelFerro (a singer and viola da gamba player born in Cattolica in 1989) and Massimiliano Cerri (a bassist born in Pesaro in 1981) are two musicians who have been active for several years and can boast great technical and stylistic experience.
Running is the title of their debut album, composed of six intense and impactful tracks.
During the listening experience, one encounters meticulously crafted sounds, sometimes essential and direct, and other times lighter and more subdued, opening up to melancholic and dark scenarios, to inner journeys born from the dialogue between Massimiliano's deep bass lines and Elisabetta's light viola melodies, accompanied in the background by magnetic synthesizers in pure 80s style.
All of this is expressed through impeccable technique made of frenetic rhythms in a new wave key, energetic yet slightly dark patterns, and a clear voice, at times melancholic and dark.
