The Profile

Braid are an American emo/post-hardcore band formed in 1993 in Champaign, Illinois. After early albums and the landmark Frame & Canvas (1998, Polyvinyl), they disbanded in 1999, reuniting for a 2004 tour and again from 2011, releasing No Coast in 2014.

Core members include Bob Nanna (vocals, guitar), Chris Broach (vocals, guitar), Todd Bell (bass), with Roy Ewing and later Damon Atkinson on drums. Breakup in 1999; reunion tour documented on the Killing a Camera DVD (2004); later releases include the Closer to Closed EP (2011) and No Coast (2014).
