An electric jolt that forces you to move. A spontaneous and carefree smile that is hard not to catch with the desire for fun. "Bodysongs" is a short album, about thirty minutes for ten songs, without exaggerated ambitions, as the debut of a band like Born Gold without the slightest record label operation behind them, but it sounds extremely fresh and polished.

So, no elevation to overly sophisticated registers, but an artistic direction based on the combination of great accessibility of music and the search for an original and personal electronic sound, without giving up some occasional experimentalism. The search yields positive results, as, although at their debut, the band shows almost total maturity and remarkable skill in sound management. Indeed, numerous and varied effects are given to the voice, and at times the complexity of the beats is incredible, as in the engaging opener "Lawn Knives". All this contributes to coloring the compelling rhythms and crescendos, wonderful when culminating in confused overlaps. On the other hand, extremely clean and immediate are the melodies and harmonies. Simple chord progressions and linear and incredibly catchy vocal parts, with instant appeal, are a strength of some tracks ("End of Days", "Winklecarver", "Boring Horror") as they balance the sonic complexity but tend in other cases to fall into banality.

Despite this (tolerable) flaw, the balance is decidedly positive, considering that the album is available on Bandcamp purchasable "with a pay-what-you-want offer".
