Born Against were an American hardcore punk band from New York City, active from 1989 to 1993. Known for fiercely political lyrics and a caustic NYHC-informed sound, they released Nine Patriotic Hymns for Children and the compilation The Rebel Sound of Shit and Failure on Vermiform Records.

Formed in NYC; vocalist Sam McPheeters and guitarist Adam Nathanson were key members; releases on Vermiform Records; cited as an influence by Refused.

A single, glowing review paints Born Against as a ferocious NYC hardcore force with uncompromising politics.
