LA RECENSIONE

Who is this artist? Bob Dylan. What an original name! It's a pity there are no new ideas. Everything's already been heard. Everything's played just to say, "I made an album! I'm a rocker too!" But damn, did we really need another character to fill us with musical garbage? Is it possible that no one stops these pseudo-artists? That someone tells them, leave it alone, don't waste time with this music! Yet, no. Either they're truly convinced that what they're playing is interesting, or those surrounding them are in bad faith. Or they have so much power that they can publish all the crap they deem worthy. Or they're trying to make a fool of us and think: I really want to see who will find this album beautiful. I'll have a good laugh reading the positive reviews from critics who will try to flatter me. People just don't understand anything. The name is enough. Even crap becomes gold. In my opinion, the character wants to make a fool of us. The album title is eloquent. "Empire Burlesque." Even the album cover says it all. A photo of the songwriter asleep, half a woman's trunk cut off. The know-it-alls might even know who she is, but I couldn't care less. All terribly framed. Good taste didn't even know where it lives here. Leave this Bob Dylan album alone. No originality. Background choruses. 80s arrangements, typical of the worst commercial radio music of those years. Maybe some tracks were accompanied by a music video. And yes, you have to ride the wave of the moment. This record is important to understand what really sucks. With this benchmark, you can re-evaluate other albums that the songwriter seems to have released previously. Ah, Bob Dylan is the musical prophet who came to Earth to teach us the word? Sorry, I'm not evolved enough to recognize the miracle. Absolutely not to listen to. Or maybe yes. Just the last track: "Dark Eyes." Yes, I'd give you a black eye.
