AJM's review praises Blues Section's 1967 self-titled album as a foundational Finnish psychedelic blues-rock record. The review highlights Jim Pembroke's 60s-style vocals, Hasse Walli's hypnotic guitar, Ronnie Österberg's rhythm, Måns Groundstroem's bass and Eero Koivistoinen's prominent sax. It frames the album as essential listening for late-night, dim-bar atmospheres and notes the members' later careers.
