They come from Sweden and in 2003 they debuted with this "Punk Royale" which, from the title, already gives us an idea of what their sound standards will be.

The young Swedes offer us a fresh and engaging punk rock that does not at all nod to certain Californian pop-punk (blink-182, Green Day) but instead refers, besides Clash and Ramones, to certain '50s Rock n' Roll.

These Blisterhead immediately show us what they're made of with the excellent opener "B-boys Bop" which perfectly sums up in just under 2 minutes what the band's sound is; the best tracks are all in the first part of the album, the compelling "Sound Of Unity" with its irresistible chorus, "On Parole", "All Dressed Up" which references the legendary OI! Band The 4 Skins.

Other excellent tracks are "Radio Riot", the almost-hardcore "The Statement" and the concluding "Friday Nights".

In conclusion, the Swedes deliver an excellent album that offers absolutely nothing new but splendidly reinterprets a no-compromise Punk N' Roll.

Great for those who want to have fun with some light-hearted punk, not recommended for those looking for innovation.
