Here I am for my first review! Well, which band, artist, or album to start with if not what you prefer: Blink-182! For those who don't know, after a breakup period, the band reunited in 2009 and on September 27, 2011, their new album: "Neighborhoods" was released.

We can say that this is the first album of the new Blink-182! An album of a genre very different from their previous ones, where we find various influences such as that of Angels & Airwaves, the band of guitarist Tom DeLonge during the break with Blink, which have a much more alternative than punk character and it's noticeable in "Up All Night", while only in "Hearts All Gone" does the band's pop-punk seem to return. Surely, many fans naturally wonder whether to continue listening to the music they grew up with like "What's My Age Again" or other "classics" or to listen to the new album. Mark, Tom, and Travis have changed after 8 years. In their songs, you no longer hear talk of alcohol, parties, sex, the lyrics are indeed far from the "desire to mess around" of the past. In their place, there is a hidden melancholy, frustrated loves and awareness of the years gone by. From a musical point of view, it's noticeable with the presence of keyboards, previously nonexistent or almost so.

The choice of keyboards is due to the greater influence of Tom DeLonge on the project, bringing with him the solo experience from Angels & Airwaves. The album is good, really, you can't say that the Blink album is bad. In the end, "Love Is Dangerous" could very well have been a single from this album, just like "Even If She Falls". As always, it's a matter of carefully assessing who you are dealing with, Blink were never punk in the true sense of the word, they have always been fun and engaging and much more pop than punk as well, and “Neighborhoods” fully represents them for what they have become today. What to say? As a fan of Blink, I tried to express objectively what I think of their album, it will surely connect the old Blink fans with those of Angels & Airwaves. So, what to say, enjoy listening!
