THE REVIEW

I met a guy, after the bombing of the Mostar bridge I saw him crying, he told me “you know, we young people used to cross the bridge to see girls on the other side, how many fights with the guys from there who came here, now that bridge is gone, it's as if they took away my 18 years.”

I don't know who Blazer1978 is, I only know that almost every day I watch his video “Nessuno Fece Nulla” by CSI with images from the BBC documentary “The Uncomfortable Truths of the War in Kosovo.” Ferretti, with his chanting sing-song, stumbles, falls, and rises again while his sensitivity makes us share in the war. Blazer1978 cuts, pastes, and breaks images because if you don't see with your own eyes, you can't believe those words; the rhythm section, on the other hand, continues with its crescendo.
After an opening shot of skulls, the images become bucolic, cultivated fields, and fiery sunsets must soon give way to the drama that took place just a few kilometers from our home, gutted houses, decomposed/dismembered/charred bodies.

I think that the author of the text, Nedžad Maksumic, experienced firsthand what he writes about because not even the most vivid imagination can describe reality so well.

Yet some people think that to bring peace, guns are needed.

PS if you're sensitive, don’t watch this video.
