I return home with my lovely Blackmore's Night CD taken from the record fair... I can't wait to play it. The impact is one of the sweetest, enveloping you in sounds reminiscent of the East, courtly festivities... Among acoustic guitars, all kinds of percussion, violas, violins, and cellos... Well, there's no need to praise Blackmore's skill, it's amazing (in a positive sense) the duet with that Ian Anderson in "Play Minstrel Play." Candice Night's voice blends excellently with it all. Never exaggerated with vocalizations or exaltations of any kind, sweet and melodic. I was appreciating the guitar work in the background of "Wish You Were Here" simply fabulous: it gives you chills. It seems impossible, but even with the electric guitar in a Renaissance context...
And as they used to say, long live the king!

Listening to this CD really makes you want to be transported back to that period of inner serenity and mental bliss called childhood.
Mr. Blackmore feeds us for more than an hour with his masterful acoustic guitar that floods us with relaxing atmospheres far removed from that world reflecting only greed and hunger for success.
